Single Elimination (Race-to)
Classic knockout bracket where each match is a race to a set number of games. Handicapped race-to targets can be applied based on player skill ratings.
Double Elimination
Players must lose twice to be eliminated. Winners and losers brackets merge in the final. The standard format for competitive pool tournaments.
Round Robin League
Every player faces every other player over multiple weeks. Standings based on matches won, game win percentage, and head-to-head record. Ideal for weekly bar leagues.
Scotch Doubles
Partners alternate shots within each game. Teams can be pre-formed or randomly drawn. A social format popular for charity and mixed-skill events.
Group Stage + Knockout
Players compete in round robin groups, then top finishers advance to a single or double elimination bracket. Guarantees multiple matches for everyone.
